Hydrostatic Testing Process from Xilix Systems

Why Hydrostatic Testing from Processing Xilix Systems?

Hydrostatic testing subjects equipment and pipelines to controlled high-pressure conditions to identify any leaks or structural weaknesses.

High Pressure – Multi Panel

Preparation of the Xilix Hydrostatic Test

Xilix Systems ensures all equipment, including pressure vessels, gauges and valves, are prepared for testing while securing and positioning the test item correctly. The Xilix team conducts thorough cleaning and inspection of the component to verify that all connections and valves are secure and ready for the test.

  • Hydrostatic Equipment Assembly:

The Xilix engineering and manufacturing team assembles essential equipment, including pressure sources and gauges, integrated with the KMT Waterjet ultrahigh-pressure waterjet pump up to 90,000psi pressure, and connects it to the test component.

  • Gradual Pressure Increase and Monitoring:

The pressure within the hydrostatic test item is increased gradually using the KMT Waterjet hydraulic pump up to 90,000psi of pressure, or compressed air, with careful monitoring of the pressure gauge to reach the target pressure.

The component is filled slowly with clean water, ensuring no air pockets or leaks are present throughout the process.

  • Pressure Maintenance and Inspection:

The target pressure is maintained for a specified duration, typically 30 minutes to an hour, to stabilize the system and identify potential leaks or deformations. The component undergoes thorough inspection during the pressure hold, typically lasting a few minutes, to check pressure gauges for any signs of leaks or structural changes.

  • Hydrostatic Depressurization and Release:

Upon successful completion of the Xilix hydrostatic test, gradually reduce the pressure to safely dismantle the setup and handle the test item appropriately.

  • Post-Test Xilix Systems Hydrostatic Inspection:

The Xilix Systems team and onsite management of facility will conduct a thorough visual inspection of the component for any signs of damage, deformation, or leaks, and document the test results for record-keeping.
